Floral, sweet spice, lemon. Strong earthy, herbal notes.
Styrian Golding hops are popular in traditional English-style IPAs, Belgian Ales, Ruby Ales / Bitters.
Our Styrian Golding hops are grown by Virgil Gamache Farms in the Yakima, Washington State.
Styrian Goldings are also known as Savinja Golding or Savinjski Golding Hops and were traditionally grown in Slovenia and Austria. Styrian Goldings’ lineage actually goes back to English Fuggle hops, which were imported from the UK to Slovenia in the early 20th century.
The terroir of the Yakima Valley adds a certain kind of sweetness to the hop, which sets it apart from the more resinous flavour profile of its European cousin.
