A combination of strong herbal, spicy and fruity flavours. Similar to Hallertau Mittelfrüh but due to Tradition's higher alpha content with a bit more punch.
Hallertauer Tradition hops are commonly used in lagers and pilsner beers. They also work well in warm-fermented / top fermented styles like kölsch or alt.
Released in 1993, Hallertauer Tradition was developed by Hop Research Center Hüll as a replacement for Hallertauer Mittelfrüh.
