Fresh beer deserves fresh hops!
Thanks to our freshness promise, you’ll always receive the freshest possible hops, no matter where you are in Europe.
By shipping Monday to Thursday, we minimise the time your hops are out of cold storage and avoid longer stops during transit. If any shipping day is a public holiday in Germany, we ship the next working day. If it's urgent and you'd like us to ship on a Friday, please get in touch before ordering and we'll do our best to help out.
Generally, we can reach most European addresses within 3-5 working days.
Here’s what we do to make sure our German Amarillo® hops have the same great quality, from when they leave our warehouse to when they arrive at your brewhouse.
From Harvest to Pellet - Never re-packaged
Unlike other hop sellers, we never open and split big bags of hop pellets into smaller quantities, because we believe freshness and quality counts above everything else.
After harvest, when our fresh hops are processed into pellets, they're packaged straight into vacuum-sealed and nitrogen-flushed bags. The hops will never leave their original packaging until you open them.
Cooled until shipped
Our warehouse partner, HVG, stores your hops in an ISO-certified, cold-storage warehouse, where the temperature is kept at 0-5°C. This temperature preserves the quality of your hops and is constantly monitored.
Just before we ship your order, we take the hops out of the storage facility and get them ready for shipping.
We only use strong, tried and trusted packaging material, so your hops arrive in absolute perfect condition.
After delivery: Hops best kept in cold storage
Our hops are packaged in vacuum sealed 5kg bags. For perfect freshness after you received your hops, we recommend storage in a temperature-controlled environment.
While a storage temperature between 0 to 5°C would be ideal, it’s important to make sure there are no big variations in temperature and to avoid extreme heat. If you open a single bag and can’t use it all at once, we recommend you cut a small hole in the bag and reseal it immediately after use. This avoids long exposure to oxygen, which can degrade the quality of your hops.
