Since 1932, Virgil Gamache Farms have continuously grown hops in the Yakima Valley and are the Home of Amarillo® VGXP01 hops. VGF grow selected hop varieties on more than 1,000 acres at their home farm in Toppenish, Washington. A network of partner farmers across the Pacific Northwest (including Washington, Oregon and Idaho) cultivate Amarillo® and other hops in close cooperation with the Gamache family. First harvested in 2018, German Amarillo® hops have also been grown in partnership with farmers in the four major hop growing regions of Germany.
With almost 90 years of know-how in hop cultivation, you can be sure that hops from Virgil Gamache Farms are always top quality and full of amazing aromas and flavours. The Gamache family always seek interesting and rare hops, such as Tardif de Bourgogne. G&U Hops are proud to bring these to breweries across Europe.
VGF's own hop testing lab, HopTechnic®, constantly checks and samples the quality of their hops to ensure they meet their high quality standards. HopTechnic is ISO/IEC 17025:2017 certified.
Take your time and enjoy the flavours Virgil Gamache Farms hops can offer. If you have any questions about any of these hops, please just get in touch.
